NEO Math Tutoring LLC was founded by Bob Brink, a retired IT professional with a lifelong love of math. After retirement, Bob realized he wanted to spend his time doing something meaningful, rewarding, and helpful to others. That path led him to tutoring.
What makes this business personal is that it is not simply about creating income. It is about helping students overcome frustration, gain confidence, and experience the satisfaction that comes from understanding something that once felt overwhelming.
Bob has already begun working with students through volunteer tutoring opportunities in nearby communities, reinforcing his belief that tutoring can be both impactful and deeply rewarding.
NEO Math Tutoring LLC is launching with a team of tutors who provide support across multiple grade levels and subject areas. Our current tutoring lineup includes grade school, middle school, and high school math, along with accounting and finance support.

Our Approach
At NEO Math Tutoring, we believe students often make the best progress when they feel supported, understood, and encouraged … not rushed.
Our general approach begins with an initial consult involving the student and parent/guardian. This helps us understand the immediate need and what support will be most helpful right now. From there, we focus on the topics that matter most, move at an appropriate pace, and help the student begin building confidence through small wins.
Those small wins matter. They can help students feel more motivated, more engaged, and more willing to tackle bigger challenges over time.

Current coverage includes grade school math, middle school math, high school math, and accounting and finance for high school students and beyond.

While many tutoring companies rely on highly structured systems, NEO Math Tutoring takes a more flexible and individualized approach. We are able to adapt to each student’s situation, focus on immediate academic needs, and support progress in a way that feels personal and encouraging.
Our goal is not just to explain math problems … it is to help students feel more capable, more confident, and more willing to keep trying.
While we are flexible to each student’s needs, we also closely follow the material covered in their textbook(s) and syllabus to ensure they thrive in their course’s specific curriculum.
Our emphasis on fostering “first person motivation” combined with the realization that “success breeds success” are two factors at the heart of the NEOMT approach.
- “First person motivation” is motivation that stems from one’s own desire to accomplish something. It motivates you to “put in the work” because it doesn’t even seem like work when some inner drive motivates you to want to accomplish the goal. It taps into the realization that where there’s a will, there’s a way. For students who already have a strong sense of first person motivation, we can spend less time initially on trying to get them interested and engaged, and dive right into the relevant math topics. For students who need more help in this area, it becomes our highest priority in the beginning because it is so essential for the rest of the process.
- “Success breeds success” is basically the phenomenon that small wins can lead to larger wins because your confidence and feeling of accomplishment are motivators themselves.
