Meet Our Tutors

NEO Math Tutoring is built around a team approach, giving students and families access to support across multiple grade levels and subject areas. Our tutors bring strengths in grade school math, middle school math, high school math, and accounting and finance.

We know that every student learns differently. That is why we aim to connect each student with the tutor who is best suited to their needs, learning style, and academic goals. Whether a student needs help building a strong foundation, working through current classroom challenges, or strengthening confidence in more advanced topics, our tutor team is here to provide patient, personalized support.

Bob Brink, a retired IT Professional, is the founder of NEO Math Tutoring. He holds a B.S. degree in Mathematics from John Carroll University and possesses a lifelong love of Mathematics – the only pure science.

Mike Gaydos, a Senior Actuarial Analyst at AmTrust Financial, holds a B.A. degree in Mathematics from Ohio Wesleyan University. He excelled in Math in High School and College. As a result, he has extensive knowledge/expertise in most, if not all, High School Math subjects anyone may need help with.

Betty Brink, a retired Business Professional, holds an M.B.A. from the University of West Virginia at Parkersburg. During her career, prior to retiring and beyond, she has also pursued many interests/hobbies on the side including Wholistic Healing and Reiki.

Ann Patterson, A Retired Respiratory Therapy Director, holds a B.A. degree in English Literature from John Carroll University, passed the LSAT, and completed 2 years of Law School from The University of Akron School of Law. She was originally pursuing a career as a paralegal until a life changing event (Guillann-Barre syndrome) led her to pursue a career in Respiratory Therapy. Her “near death” experience led her to want to be able to help any other people who might encounter this illness in the future. She began as a Respiratory Therapist in the greater Akron Ohio Area and eventually progressed all the way to being Director of Ancillary Services leading 8 separate Departments at Scripps Memorial Hospital in Encinitas California.

Mike Wexler, a retired Corporate CPA (inactive), has held positions as Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Controller and Management Consultant with public and private manufacturing and consulting companies, Mike is well versed in accounting, finance, financial planning, individual and small business taxation and bookkeeping.

He holds a current Enrolled Agent certification issued by the IRS and previously passed the Ohio State Insurance, FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) Series 6 and 63 investment license examinations. He has a BA Degree in Economics from Muskingum University (Ohio) and an MBA in Accounting & Finance from The University of Hartford (CT).

Sweta Wexler, who in her career held senior level accounting, government accounting, IT, Managing Consultant and Government Compliance positions with major public corporations, including BWXT, IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers, also has the following education credentials:

• CPA (inactive) Certificate with the State of Ohio
• MS Degree in Accounting – Tax Concentration from Case Western Reserve University
• MS Degree in Economics from Wayne State University (Detroit, MI), where she completed all Ph.D. coursework in Economics & Econometrics
• MA Degree in Economics & Statistics from The University of Calcutta (India)
• BA Degree in Economics & Statistics from Presidency College (Calcutta, India)
• Various SAP software certifications from SAP and IBM
• Taught college level courses in Economics
